Glitsy Goodness

Morning my crafty peeps,
I have been working on a bunch of card fronts and this is the latest card that I've made with the fronts.

The stamps are images from a Chocolate Baroque set, while the swirly background is a stamp. I used a product that I had to dust the moth balls off of, Tsukineko's Glue Pad. This product is great to use with glitter, mica pigment powder and more.
I inked up my stamp, stamped it onto the glossy cardstock then added the glitter. Now there are other gluepads on the market, but the one by Tsukineko, in my opinion, is the best. It's just another tool in your stamping arsenal. Now I colored the images using Copic markers, then the butterfly I also added clear Wink of Stella for added pizazz!
This was a lot of fun to make, and it was great to bring out some of my older supplies. To be honest it was sitting around for so long, I was shocked that it worked!!
Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!

Chocolate Baroque Goodness

Hi my crafty peeps! I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend and made time to create crafty magic. Below is something I worked on last weekend during a crop I attended at Jeckyl Island.
The coloring of course was done with Copic markers, the flower stamp is from a set by Chocolate Baroque, and the background music is from Hero Arts.
The background process is easy. I stamped the background using Brilliance Pigment Moonlight white ink, and white embossing powder. I really wanted the image to pop white, so using white ink with white powder ensured this result. Next I blended 3 colors of TH Distress Oxide inks, which as you can see blend beautifully.
Nest I stamped the flower image and colored it in with Copic markers. I fussy cut out the flower and mounted it to the card front. For the finishing touch, I added pearls and a saying. I have to say, this turned out better than imagined. As fellow crafters, you know how often you know what you want your projects to look like in your head, but the end result doesn't quite match your vision? Luckily this time, the end result exceeded what I had pictured in my head, lol. I hope you can find some inspiration in my card, and as always, happy crafting!

Moving Along with the Times - Challenge

Hi to all my crafty peeps, Moving Along with the Times has another challenge happening, this time the inspiration came from certain song lyrics. Below is my card, along with a few of the lyrics...
The stamps, of which there are only 2, are from Stampscapes. I wanted to create the Aurora Borealis, a site that is on my bucket list to witness. I used about 5 different colors of ink, on glossy cardstock.
Next I typed out the song lyrics, inked the edges then added a few sparkles in the sky with a white gel pen.
I hope to see the real lights someday but for now, my card will have to suffice. Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!
